Fatality on the Ventura 101 Freeway in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Tuesday afternoon on the eastbound Ventura 101 Freeway at the Reseda Boulevard off ramp.
It happened at around 12:49 p.m. on Oct. 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a driver in a grey Volkswagen Jetta struck the person due to unknown circumstances.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and located the pedestrian with major injuries, but unfortunately the person died at the scene. The driver stopped and cooperated with authorities.
Police issued a SigAlert due to heavy traffic and also conducted an investigation into what happened.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the vehicle for evidence and the case remains under investigation.
