HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (July 8, 2024) — A 55-year-old Huntington Beach man died in a pedestrian accident Friday while crossing Warner Avenue, just west of Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach.

The deadly crash occurred at 10 p.m. on July 5th, according to the Orange County Register.

The newspaper reported the victim was jaywalking when a Lexus sedan struck him in the eastbound slow lane and he was thrown into the middle lane where a Ford sedan hit him a few seconds later.

Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital, but he later died from his injuries, the report said.

The drivers of both vehicles stopped and were questioned by investigators about what happened, but there were no arrests.

The identity of the man who died was not released, pending notification of his next of kin.
