PACIFICA, California (April 26, 2016) — A pedestrian was struck and killed early Tuesday morning on Highway 1, just south of the Devil’s Slide Trail tunnel, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 3:24 a.m. when a report came in about a female curled up in a ball in the middle of the roadway. Three vehicles stopped to block traffic and police and the coroner responded to the scene of the crash. A SigAlert was issued for roughly two hours as Highway 1 was closed down in both directions.
All lanes reopened about 6:32 a.m. The circumstances were not disclosed in the report.
