Man Killed in Hit-and-run Collision in Vermont Square Neighborhood

Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-run Crash Normandie Avenue, 51st Street LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Aug. 28, 2019) — A pedestrian was struck and killed early Wednesday morning while crossing Normandie Avenue in the Vermont Square neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The collision was reported about 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 28th near West 51st Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The

Police are not searching for the suspect who fled the scene after hitting the victim in the southbound lanes where he was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk.

The man was found down between parked vehicles where he died.

Police are looking for witnesses and surveillance footage to help them identify the suspect.
