OLD RIVER, Calif. (June 29, 2022) — A fatal pedestrian hit-and-run crash happened Saturday morning on Highway 119 in Old River.

The collision occurred about 3:30 a.m. on June 25th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials are now searching for the suspect who drove a Honda Accord that struck the man on Highway 119 and left him for dead.

Also, the victim’s name and age have not been released. He was reportedly struck by the westbound Honda as he walked on the highway partially in the westbound lanes.

The motorist left the scene, but police found the vehicle abandoned nearby on Par Street in Old River.

Meanwhile, authorities closed down Highway 119 for two hours to conduct their fatal pedestrian crash investigation.
