PERRIS, Calif. (Dec. 7, 2022) — A fatal Perris pedestrian accident happened Tuesday night when a driver struck a man crossing near the Interstate 215 Freeway off ramp at D Street.
The deadly crash occurred about 6:46 p.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The victim was crossing the roadway when an oncoming vehicle hit him. Officers from the Perris Station responded and located an adult male suffering from major injuries. Medical personnel treated the man at the scene, but sadly he died from his injuries.
The 37-year-old Perris man driving the vehicle stopped and cooperated with authorities. There are no other injuries from the collision.
Authorities are working on the case and will determine the cause of the collision.
Meanwhile, the identity of the man who died will be released by the coroner’s office after relatives are notified of his death.
