
Teen Killed in Placentia Crash is Identified; 4 Others Injured
PLACENTIA, Calif. (June 6, 2024) – Zachary Blake Henn, 17, was identified as the El Dorado High School student killed in a two-vehicle Placentia crash on Yorba Linda Boulevard on his way to the campus just one block away.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at Valencia Avenue around 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4th, according to the Orange County Coroner-Sheriff’s Department. The circumstances leading up to the collision were not disclosed.
The Yorba Linda teen, who was an 11th grader, was reportedly driving one of the vehicles involved in the collision.
The Placentia Police Department and paramedics responded and located the teenager trapped in his vehicle. Firefighters extricated him and he was transported to a hospital, but unfortunately he died shortly after his arrival.
Meanwhile, a male juvenile who was riding with the 17-year-old boy, managed to exit the vehicle and was taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Also, the other driver, a 39-year-woman and her two children, were all taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Placentia police are working to determine fault for the fatal Placentia crash and they are asking witnesses to call them at 714-993-8157.
