
PLEASANT HILL, Calif. (Feb. 16, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Thursday morning in Pleasant Hill on the southbound Interstate 680 Freeway at the Treat Boulevard off ramp.
The collision occurred about 4:34 a.m. on Feb. 16th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The drivers of a orange Kenworth semi-truck and a Ford van loaded with carpet were involved, the report said.
The Concord Police Department responded and located the adult male victim down in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes. The man died at the scene.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the freeway. The Ford van had evidence underneath it confirming it was involved, the report said.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on the Interstate 680 Freeway.
