Deadly Car Accident on Chino Valley Freeway
POMONA, Calif. (June 28, 2023) — A fatal Pomona crash on state Route 71 happened Tuesday morning just south of West Grand Avenue and Mission Boulevard.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred around 7:32 a.m. on June 27th on the southbound Chino Valley Freeway, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
At least two motorists were involved including a silver Toyota Camry, the report said. A Jeep was on the right shoulder, but it’s unknown if it was involved.
Someone called 911 to report the crash and noted vehicles were in the center facing the wrong way.
Paramedics responded, however, at least one person died following the collision. It’s unknown if there were any injuries to others.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the fatal Pomona crash on state Route 71.
