One Killed in Collision in Pomona

POMONA, Calif. (May 23, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian accident happened Wednesday night in Pomona at East Mission Boulevard and South Reservoir Street.

The Pomona Police Department responded to the intersection at around 10:09 p.m. on May 22nd and located the pedestrian down in the roadway, MyNewsLA reports.

A driver had struck the victim in the westbound lanes of East Mission Boulevard due to unknown circumstances.

Unfortunately, the person was pronounced dead at the scene by arriving paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The person’s age, gender and name were not released, pending notification of their family.

Meanwhile, the driver involved in the accident stopped and cooperated with the investigation.

Pomona police closed down both directions of traffic on Mission Boulevard to conduct the investigation into the pedestrian accident on Mission Boulevard in Pomona.
