Child Killed, Woman Injured in Pomona Crash
POMONA, Calif. (May 28, 2024) – A child died and a woman was severely injured in a Pomona pedestrian accident Tuesday night at South Towne Avenue and East Lexington Avenue.
The deadly crash occurred at around 8:02 p.m. on May 28th, according to the Pomona Police Department.
Police responded to the intersection where a driver had struck both pedestrians at Lexington Avenue near Towne Avenue, the report said.
Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced the child dead at the scene, but the woman was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle stopped and cooperated with authorities.
The Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is working on the case.
