Child Struck, Killed on Kimball Road
RED BLUFF, Calif. (March 31, 2022) – A fatal Red Bluff pedestrian accident on Kimball Road left a child dead Wednesday night in Red Bluff.
The deadly crash happened on March 30th in the 1000 block of Kimball Road, according to Action News Now.
Red Bluff police responded and located a child in the road suffering from major injures. Paramedics responded and rushed the injured child to a hospital where they later died.
Evidence reviewed by police indicates the child may have been lying in the road when they were hit by the vehicle. Isabella Helmericks, 18, was driving the car and stopped following the collision. She cooperated with authorities and police determined that drugs or alcohol were not factors in the crash.
Meanwhile, the name, gender and age of the child will be released after family members are notified.
Witnesses to the crash may contact the Red Bluff police. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
