Bicyclist Killed in Car Crash on Highway 273 (Market Street and Caterpillar Road)
REDDING, Calif. (April 13, 2021) – A fatal Redding bicycle accident happened early Tuesday morning on Market Street, also known as Highway 273.
UPDATE: Gerald Michael Webb,36, of French Gulch identified as pedestrian killed in crash.
Redding police officials say a a woman driving a Toyota Prius struck the man on Highway 273 in Redding. He was walking a motorized bicycle around 5:30 a.m. on April 13th, according to Action News Now.

Also, police say the collision happened on southbound North Market Street at Caterpillar Road. Furthermore, it’s unknown what led up to the collision, but investigators are at the scene piecing together evidence and witness statements.
Police closed down the southbound lanes from Caterpillar Road to Lake Boulevard.
The man who died was identified by the Shasta County Coroner’s Office.
