Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle at Highway 44 and Hilltop Drive
REDDING, Calif. (June 1, 2021) — A fatal Redding pedestrian accident on Highway 44 happened Tuesday near Hilltop Drive.
The Highway 44 crash was reported to the California Highway Patrol about 8:24 a.m. on June 1st.
Two vehicle stopped and one had a dent on the front of it. Meanwhile, a body was on the right hand shoulder of the highway. The report stated the victim was a 34-year-old man from Red Bluff.
One of the drivers reported the victim was running across the street when they struck them.
Meanwhile, a driver in a silver Chevrolet Tahoe was pulled over in the center divider. The identity of the person who died has not been released at this time.
Investigators seek to determine fault for the Highway 44 pedestrian accident. Witnesses may contact the CHP to help them with the investigation.
