Rider Possibly Hit Amazon Truck Tire on Freeway
RIALTO, Calif. (July 25, 2024) — A fatal motorcycle crash involving an Amazon truck happened Thursday morning on the eastbound Foothill 210 Freeway at Pepper Avenue in Rialto.
The female motorcyclist possibly “hit a semi-tire that blew” while traveling at freeway speed at around 7:38 a.m. on July 25th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
An Amazon semi-truck pulled over to the right shoulder and police issued a SigAlert for the HOV and Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway. Several other motorists stopped to help.
The woman riding the bike went down in the HOV or fast lane and her motorcycle was found in the No. 2 lane of the freeway, the report said.
A woman in a white sedan pulled over to help and called 911 to report the crash and request medical aid.
Paramedics responded and confirmed her death on scene at 7:51 a.m., the CHP said.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the 210 Freeway in Rialto.
