Hit-and-run Suspect Sought in Deadly Accident on Pepper Avenue in Rialto
SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (April 23, 2025) — A hit-and-run driver struck and killed a 45-year-old pedestrian who was walking in a Rialto crosswalk last Thursday at Pepper Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.
The deadly collision occurred around 11 p.m. on April 18th, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner.
The southbound motorist traveling on Pepper Avenue towards Foothill Boulevard. The vehicle reportedly hit the victim as he walked on the north side of the intersection, the report said.

Police reported the driver took off without stopping to help the victim. Paramedics provided lifesaving measures on the injured man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The man’s name has not been released, pending the notification of next of kin.
