RIVERSIDE, California (August 20, 2014) – A man was killed Wednesday afternoon when he lost control of his SUV and crashed into a tree or fence at the intersection of Scottsdale and Harley John roads, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
About 1:16 p.m., CHP officers and Riverside County Firefighters responded to the collision after a witness reported the rollover accident. The responded told authorities “He had a small child in his own vehicle that he had to get back to and he was too shook up to answer questions.”
The witness did tell authorities that it appeared the driver had taken a turn too fast before the crash.
Certified Towing was called to take the damaged vehicle for an evidence tow.
“Police will conduct a full investigation into this car accident. My condolences go out to the family of this man as they learn of his sudden loss,” said Attorney James Johnson.
