Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on 215 Freeway
RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Feb. 21, 2025) — A fatal motorcycle accident happened Thursday night on the 215 Freeway at Van Buren Boulevard in Riverside County.
The deadly crash occurred around 7:35 p.m. on Feb. 20th, according to the California Highway Patrol report.
CHP officials reported Stephanie Varieur, 61, of Riverside, was riding a 3-wheel Can-Am Spyder motorcycle when she collided with a semi-truck or Ford F-150 pickup truck. The bike was blocking the middle lanes and the pickup truck was stopped behind the rider who was down in the roadway. The semi-truck pulled over to the right shoulder after the collision, but it’s unknown if that truck was involved.
Paramedics responded, however, the rider died at the scene.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle accident on the 215 Freeway in Riverside.
