Motorcyclist Killed in Riverside Car Accident on 91 Freeway
RIVERSIDE, California (April 21, 2021) — A fatal Riverside motorcycle accident happened Wednesday on the 91 Freeway near Pierce Street.
Additionally, the collision happened about 5:05 a.m. on April 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorcycle rider reportedly collided with one or two other vehicles in the HOV lane of the westbound freeway, police said. A blue Toyota Corolla and another vehicle were facing the wrong way in traffic lanes and the bike was down on the freeway. The rider was unconscious and not breathing immediately after the collision, the CHP report stated.
Multi-Vehicle Fatal Riverside Crash
Police summoned the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner to the scene within 30 minutes of the collision.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed damaged vehicles and police issued a SigAlert.
It’s unknown what led up to the fatal Riverside motorcycle accident. However, investigators are speaking with the drivers involved and witnesses to determine who is at fault for the crash.
