Pedestrian Found Dead on 60 Freeway
Riverside, Calif. (April 1, 2021) — A fatal Riverside pedestrian accident on the 60 Freeway happened early Thursday morning near Perris Boulevard.
The California Highway Patrol received a report from a 911 caller at 2:36 a.m. on April 1st. The caller told police it “looks like someone was laying on the right shoulder. Looked like a body with feet sticking out towards the roadway with part of it under the guardrail.”
The Riverside Sheriff’s Office and Cal Fire Riverside Fire Department responded.
Meanwhile, the victim was alone and there were no vehicles there at the scene. The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner has not identified the victim, but the name will be released after family members are notified.
Additionally, investigators are seeking to determine if the person was a pedestrian killed on the 60 Freeway in a hit-and-run accident or something else. Witnesses or anyone with information about this incident should contact police.
