Deadly Crash on I-80 Freeway in Roseville
ROSEVILLE, Calif. (Nov. 16, 2022) — A fatal Roseville crash happened Wednesday morning on the eastbound Interstate 80 Freeway near the Riverside Avenue on ramp in Placer County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred about 8:48 a.m. on Nov. 16th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The vehicles collided in the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes of the I-80 Freeway due to unknown circumstances. Paramedics with the Roseville Fire Department responded to help those hurt in the crash. However, at least one person died from major injuries.
Police issued a SigAlert due to several lanes being blocked by vehicles. Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both damaged vehicles from the freeway that will be stored for evidence.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
