Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Vehicles
SACRAMENTO, California (Oct. 30, 2017) — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with possibly two vehicles Sunday night at the intersection of the Interstate 50 Lincoln Highway and the Interstate 80 Freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash took place about 6:03 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Highway 50. One report by KCRA stated the rider struck a black SUV.
Police issued a SigAlert and the Sacramento Fire Department responded to the scene to help the rider, but sadly he or she died of their injuries at the scene.
Traffic Accident Investigation
Police are going over the facts of this case and will piece together all the evidence in an effort to solve liability. There are many unanswered questions including whether any of the drivers involved were traveling within speed limits or if drugs and or alcohol were factors.
