Deadly Crash on Reservation Road in Salinas
SALINAS, Calif. (April 12, 2022) — A fatal Salinas crash on Reservation Road left one young man dead and another critically injured near South Davis Road.
The deadly crash happened about 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 10th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A 19-year-old man driving a gray Ford Mustang reportedly lost control and went off the roadway into a hillside, police said. The vehicle crashed into a pole and a passenger was partially ejected from the vehicle. The young man in his 20s suffered fatal injuries and died on scene.
Meanwhile, the teen driver was found conscious and suffered major injuries in the Salinas crash. Paramedics transported him to a hospital for further treatment.
Police are investigating what led up to the solo-vehicle crash. It’s unknown if speed, drugs and or alcohol were factors.
The crash remains under investigation.
