Burrtec Trash Truck Hits, Kills Pedestrian in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (Nov. 9, 2022) — A driver in a Burrtec trash truck struck and killed a pedestrian in an accident at the University Parkway on ramp to the Interstate 215 Freeway in San Bernardino.
Daniel Deleon, 59, of San Bernardino, died at the scene of the crash, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
The fatal crash occurred about 5:54 a.m. on Nov. 9th, near Motel 6, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The San Bernardino Police Department responded and issued a SigAlert for the University Parkway on ramp to the southbound I-215 Freeway.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the collision. Sadly the unidentified person suffered major injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the deadly crash.
