Deadly Crash on State Route Highway 17 in San Jose
SAN JOSE, Calif. (Nov. 14, 2022) — A fatal San Jose crash involving five vehicles happened Sunday morning on State Route Highway 17 at the Bear Creek Road off ramp.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes of SR-17 about 9:57 a.m. on Nov. 13th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Multiple vehicles including a white sedan were blocking traffic lanes and a body was lying in the No. 1 lane of the highway.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash and tended to multiple injuries ranging from minor to major, the report said. They transported at least one person to a hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed several of the damaged vehicles — including one that was ripped apart in two pieces — from the freeway.
