SAN JOSE, Calif. (June 8, 2023) — A fatal San Jose crash on the Interstate 880 happened early Thursday morning between near the border of Milpitas.

The traffic accident occurred around 12:50 a.m. on Thursday, June 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

An 18-year-old man in a Dodge Caliber, along with a female passenger, was traveling northbound on the Interstate 880 Freeway. He lost control of the vehicle just north of the Montague Expressway. Apparently, the motorist made an unsafe left turning movement, according to the CHP. The Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner will identify the victim after relatives are notified.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Interstate 880 Freeway crash in San Jose.
