Woman in Wheelchair Hit by SUV at San Jose Intersection
SAN JOSE, Calif. (Nov. 7, 2023) — A fatal San Jose pedestrian accident happened Monday night at Blossom Hill Road and Chesbro Avenue.
The deadly crash occurred at around 9:40 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7th, just west of Highway 85, according to CBS News.
A driver in a grey 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV struck a woman using a wheelchair to cross the road, the report said. The woman was in the intersection and crossing against a red traffic light, police said.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured woman to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the motorist stopped their vehicle and cooperated with investigators at the scene.
CBS News reports this is the city’s 24th pedestrian fatality, it’s 43rd fatal collision and the 45th traffic death so far in 2023.
