Police Searching for Suspect in White Kia Sedan

SANTA ANA, Calif. (April 26, 2023) — A fatal Santa Ana hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened Monday morning on North Main Street.

The deadly crash occurred around 5:34 a.m. on April 24th, according to the Orange County Register.

A man was reportedly hit by a white 2016 to 2018 Kia Optima sedan as he attempted to cross in the 2700 block of North Main Street, the report said.

The man was thrown to the ground and suffered major injuries. Paramedics responded, but he died at the scene. The Orange County Sheriff Coroner has not released his age or identity.

Meanwhile, the driver of the 4-door Kia sedan fled the scene without stopping to help the victim.

The Santa Ana Police Department is heading up the investigation into the hit-and-run pedestrian accident. Witnesses or anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle involved, may contact the police department at 714-245-8200.
