One Dead in 3-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 Freeway
SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (Nov. 7, 2022) — A fatal 3-vehicle Santa Clarita crash happened Monday morning on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of State Route Highway 126.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the I-5 about 3:13 a.m. on Nov. 7th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported a vehicle was blacked out and hit by another vehicle. One vehicle overturned onto its side and another sustained major left side damage in the crash.
Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash, but sadly one person suffered fatal injuries on scene.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed three damaged vehicles for evidence from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
