 Fatal Santa Rosa Pedestrian Accident Highway 116, Woodworth Road

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (April 7, 2023) — A fatal pedestrian accident happened Friday morning on Highway 116 at Woodworth Road in Santa Rosa.

The collision occurred on State Route 116 around 10:20 a.m. on April 7th, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported a driver in a white Ford pickup truck with a camper shell was involved in the crash and hit the pedestrian. The person was laying in the eastbound lane of the roadway with undisclosed injuries, the report said.

Meanwhile, the Sonoma Sheriff’s Office and paramedics responded to the scene. However, by 12:20 p.m., the CHP report was updated to report the pedestrian died following the crash.

There is no further information at this time about the pedestrian accident on Highway 116.

Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Santa Rosa crash.
