Man Riding Scooter Struck, Killed at Long Beach Intersection
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2022) — A fatal scooter accident in Long Beach happened Tuesday morning at 7th Street and Chestnut Avenue.
The collision occurred about 7:15 a.m. on Sept. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a black sedan reportedly struck the man riding a motorized scooter. The collision happened in the middle lanes of the intersection.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured man to a hospital where he later died.
Meanwhile, the motorist stopped and cooperated with the police traffic investigation.
It’s unknown at this time what led up to the fatal crash.
Investigators with the Long Beach Police Department will determine fault.
