Fatal Semi-Truck Collision on I-10 West to SR-57 in Pomona

POMONA, Calif. (March 27, 2025) — A fatal crash involving two semi-trucks occurred early Thursday morning on the westbound I-10 Freeway, transitioning to the northbound SR-57 in Pomona.

The drivers of a red big rig and a white big rig truck collided around 8:40 AM on March 27th, causing severe traffic disruptions in the area, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol. One truck was in the fast lane and the other in the number 3 lane of the freeway.

CHP officers responded and by 9:30 AM, they confirmed that the crash had resulted in a fatality, the report said.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.

Meanwhile, the trucks were also blocking the number 2 lane on the transition road from I-10 west to SR-57 north, police said. This created significant congestion at the freeway interchange.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by CHP officials.
