Motorist Killed in Crash With Semi-Truck

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Oct. 19, 2023) – One person is dead after a car versus semi-truck crash on Long Beach Avenue in downtown Los Angeles.

Firefighters and paramedics responded at 11:06 a.m. Thursday to 1210 S. Long Beach Ave., between East Olympic Boulevard and East 14th Street, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

One person in the passenger vehicle was extricated and pronounced dead on scene, the report said.

Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash and liability.
