Fiery, 2-Vehicle Crash on Lerdo Highway
SHAFTER, Calif. (August 15, 2023) — One person is dead after a two-vehicle car accident Monday on East Lerdo Highway and Driver Road, just west of Shafter.
The collision occurred around 4:35 p.m. on August 14th, according to Bakersfield Now.
Police responded and discovered two vehicles that were completely engulfed in flames, the report said.
Kern County Fire extinguished the fire after arriving on scene.
Meanwhile, the person who died will be identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office after relatives are notified. It’s unknown how many others were hurt in the Shafter accident on Lerdo Highway.
