Teen Struck, Killed on State Route 79
WARNER SPRINGS, Calif. (Aug. 3, 2023) — A driver in an SUV struck Anthony Perluss, 16, while riding a skateboard in a fatal accident on Highway 79 in Warner Springs.
The fatal crash occurred around 10:05 p.m. on July 30th in front of 35285 Highway 79, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The crash happened Sunday night near Peralta Drive in the Holcomb Village area, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.
Paramedics responded and rushed the injured teen to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar where he later died from his injuries at 11:15 p.m. the same day.
The teen was identified by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The case remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol – San Diego station.
