Skateboarder, 19, Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Voight Drive Friday
San Diego, CA (February 6, 2021) – A 19-year-old man died following a traffic accident on Voight Drive Friday evening.
The San Diego Union-Tribune published an article indicating the teenager was riding a skateboard inside the UC San Diego campus. While skating west on Voight Drive, the young man fell.

At about the same time, a westbound Nissan Maxima passed by and accidentally run over the skateboarder. The collision resulted in fatal injuries to the teenager. Responding paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, officials briefly identified the driver of the Nissan as a 20-year-old man. The motorist stayed in the area and cooperated with the authorities.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the deadly skateboard accident in San Diego.
