RIVERSIDE COUNTY, California (July 8, 2016) — Luis Mendoza, 38, of Blythe died early Thursday morning in a solo crash at 35th Avenue and Rannells Boulevard in this unincorporated community of Ripley, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The crash took place about 2:09 a.m. on July 7. The vehicle was found upside down in a drainage canal near the intersection. The individual who died was found inside the vehicle and died at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation into the fatal crash.
