Motorcyclist Killed in Somis Crash on Highway 118 (SR-118)
SOMIS, Calif. (Nov. 17, 2021) — A fatal Somis motorcycle accident happened early Wednesday on State Route Highway 118 just east of Sand Canyon Road.
The collision involved a blue Harley Davidson motorcycle and another vehicle, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Fatal Somis Motorcycle Accident
The CHP reported the collision on East Los Angeles Avenue (SR-118) at 6:31 a.m. on Nov. 17th. It’s unknown what led up to the collision between the two motorists at this time. Paramedics responded and performed CPR on the injured motorcycle rider, but sadly the person died on scene. The driver in the car stopped on the right shoulder near the nursery.
Meanwhile, a tow truck responded to remove the motorcycle which had lost its front wheel during the crash.
Authorities closed down East Los Angeles Avenue for the fatal Somis motorcycle accident investigation and cleanup of debris and vehicles from the roadway.
