3-Vehicle Crash in South Gate on I-710 Freeway
SOUTH GATE, Calif. (March 16, 2023) — A fatal 3-vehicle crash on the Interstate 710 Freeway happened Thursday morning, just south of Imperial Highway in South Gate.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred in the northbound HOV lane about 5:32 a.m. on March 16th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch report.
The drivers of a BMW, a Honda Civic and a Ford F-150 pickup truck were involved.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and located one person passed out on the ground and began performing life-saving CPR on the person. However, the person later died at the scene.
Meanwhile, police issued a SigAlert by 6:05 a.m. due to the crash blocking several lanes.
The crash remains under investigation.
