2-Vehicle Car Accident on State Route 99 in Stockton
STOCKTON, Calif. (Jan. 5, 2024) — A fatal two-vehicle crash happened Friday morning in Stockton on Highway 99, just north of Hammer Lane.
The California Highway Patrol reported the collision on the northbound State Route 99 at 7:11 a.m. on January 5th, 2024.
The drivers of a white vehicle and a black vehicle were involved and the crash took out a 100-foot chain link fence, a metal pole and the Morada Lane exit sign was destroyed, the report said.
Paramedics responded and stated there were several occupants among the two vehicles, but unfortunately at least one person died after the crash. The identity, age and gender of the victims was not released.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles and Caltrans responded to repair the fence and sign.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the fatal Stockton crash on Highway 99.
