One Dead, Two Hospitalized in Collision Near Studio City
STUDIO CITY, Calif. (March 24, 2022) – A fatal Studio City crash happened early Thursday on a transition road from the southbound Hollywood 101 Freeway to the eastbound Ventura 134 Freeway.
A 20-year-old Pasadena woman identified as Sera Aintablian died and two others were injured in the two-vehicle crash about 2:05 a.m. on March 24rd, according to the California Highway Patrol.
One of the vehicles wound up on the Tujunga Avenue off ramp. The other vehicle appeared to be ripped in half and severely damaged. Sadly, the woman suffered major injuries and died at the scene, police said.
Paramedics responded and rushed the two survivors to a hospital in unknown condition.
Meanwhile, authorities closed down the Tujunga off ramp. They also diverted traffic away from the 101 Freeway to the 134 Freeway. Investigators were at the scene for several hours piecing together evidence to determine what led up to the deadly crash.
At this time, it’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were factors in the fatal Studio City crash.
