Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Studio City Hit-and-Run
STUDIO CITY, Calif. (Dec. 23, 2025) — A pedestrian was killed early Tuesday morning after being struck by two vehicles including an SUV on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, authorities said.
The hit-and-run was reported on Dec. 23rd at about 5:44 a.m. in the 12900 block of Ventura Boulevard near Coldwater Canyon Avenue, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison.
Investigators said the pedestrian was crossing the street when he was struck by a black Toyota RAV4 traveling eastbound on Ventura Boulevard. The driver continued east before fleeing onto Van Noord Avenue. Meanwhile, a second motorist struck the victim who was down in the roadway and also fled the scene.
The adult male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A canopy was placed to shield the body, police said. The victim was initially described as a man, though authorities later said the person may have been a woman. The victim’s identity and age have not been released.
The crash remains under investigation, and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
