Man Killed in Traffic Crash on Hollywood (170) Freeway
SUN VALLEY, Calif. (Oct. 14, 2021) – A fatal Sun Valley crash on the Hollywood (170) Freeway happened early Thursday morning.
A driver reportedly crashed into the center divider wall about 4:56 a.m. on Oct. 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The car blocked the HOV lane when an oncoming vehicle reportedly crashed into the first vehicle on the southbound Hollywood (170) Freeway.
Fatal Sun Valley Crash
The deadly collision happened near Roscoe Boulevard between a blue Chevrolet and a gray Toyota. Meanwhile, someone called 911 to report the crash and mentioned there was a male lying in the No. 2 lane.
Police requested a SigAlert due to multiple lanes being blocked by vehicles and emergency responders. Additionally, authorities closed down the eastbound Roscoe Boulevard entrance to the southbound 170 freeway.
Three lanes were blocked while an investigation was conducted into the circumstances of the crash.
