Fatal Sun Valley Crash, Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Strathern Street

Anthony Angulo, Andrew Silva Killed in Sun Valley Car Accident

LOS ANGELES, (June 9, 2025) – Andrew Silva, 20, and Anthony Angulo, 24, both died in a two-vehicle crash on Laurel Canyon Boulevard at Strathern Street in Sun Valley.

Two others were injured in the crash at 3:33 p.m. on Saturday, June 7th, in the 8000 block of North Laurel Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The two young men became trapped in the wreckage and were extricated using hydraulic tools by arriving firefighters.

The younger man suffered major injuries and died at the scene. The older man was also critically injured and died at a hospital, the Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division said.

A 45-year-old man and a second person had minor injuries, but both refused to be taken to a hospital.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
