Fatal Sunland Car Accident Foothill Boulevard, McVine Avenue
One Killed, Two Hurt in Sunland Crash
SUNLAND, Calif. (Feb. 19, 2025) – A fatal car accident in Sunland happened Tuesday afternoon on Foothill Boulevard between McVine Avenue and the Haines Canyon Channel.
A 76-year-old woman died and two others were injured in the two-vehicle collision around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 18th, according to a press release by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The driver of an SUV was traveling at high speed and bounced off five vehicles before crashing head-on with a Mercedes.
Firefighters responded to the 8200 block of Foothill Boulevard and located a female passenger with major injuries trapped in the wreckage. The woman was freed from the vehicle but died at the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported a 60-year-old man with major injuries and a 35-year-old woman with minor injuries to hospitals.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Sunland accident on Foothill Boulevard.
