Fatal Sunnyvale Car Accident on 101 Freeway
SUNNYVALE, Calif. (July 18, 2018) — A grey Toyota Prius veered off the 101 Freeway Wednesday morning in a fatal collision near the Mathilda Avenue South off ramp, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 7:02 a.m. this morning. The report stated the vehicle went up onto the K-Rail or center divider of the freeway. Police issued a SigAlert and called the coroner as the person died at the scene. It’s unknown how many people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Police are heading up an investigation into liability.
