Man Struck and Killed in Sylmar
SYLMAR, Calif. (June 24, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian accident happened early Monday on Foothill Boulevard at Arroyo Street in Sylmar.
A man, about 60 years old, was crossing the roadway outside of a crosswalk when an oncoming SUV struck him at around 2:15 a.m. on June 24th, according to MyNewsLA and the Los Angeles Police Department.
Paramedics responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene of the crash. The identity was not released, pending notification of his next of kin.
The Los Angeles Police Department is heading up the investigation.
Finally, the driver of the vehicle stopped and cooperated with police.
