Head-on Crash in Temecula on Rancho California Road
TEMECULA, Calif. (Nov. 15, 2021) — A fatal Temecula crash happened Monday morning on Rancho California Road at Via Vueltas.
Mary Mercado, 22, of Temecula died and two others were injured in the 11:32 a.m. head-on crash on Nov. 15th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported a woman driving a white Ford Escape collided with a red 4-door sedan. It’s unknown what led up to the collision in the 26000 block of Rancho California Road.
Additionally, firefighters with the Riverside County Fire Department responded to the scene and confirmed the young woman dead and transported two others with non-life threatening injuries to a hospital. Also, CHP officials requested the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner respond.
Finally, the cause of the crash and liability remains under investigation by police.
