Thousand Oaks Crash 101 Freeway at Rancho Conejo Blvd.
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (Jan. 4, 2021) — A Thousand Oaks crash left one person dead after a pickup truck crashed on the northbound 101 Freeway.
The collision was reported at 7:34 a.m. at Rancho Conejo Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The Ventura County Fire Department responded to the crash scene where a white Nissan 2500 pickup truck had crashed and one person was unresponsive. It’s unknown how many people were in the crashed vehicle. A Good Samaritan called for authorities after spotting the vehicle in some bushes on the side of the freeway.
Finally, the cause of the fatal Thousand Oaks crash and liability are under investigation. The identity of the victim has not been released pending notification of their family. The Los Angeles Coroner will eventually release the name of the person.
