Two Men Killed in Crash on 405 Freeway in Torrance
TORRANCE, Calif. (Nov. 12, 2024) – Two men died late Monday night in a multi-vehicle crash on the San Diego (405) Freeway, just south of Crenshaw Boulevard in Torrance.
The deadly crash occurred around 11:44 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11th in the southbound lanes of the I-405 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Both men suffered major injuries and died on scene, police said.
It’s unknown at this time if any other people were injured in the Torrance collision.
According to a witness, one vehicle struck the center divider, and debris from the crash flew over the median into northbound lanes.
Two of the vehicles were sedans and at least one of the motorists overturned in the crash.
A SigAlert was issued at 12:09 a.m. and authorities closed down all southbound lanes of the San Diego Freeway from Crenshaw Boulevard and Western Avenue. They also closed down the Crenshaw Boulevard on-ramp to the southbound freeway.
